Course Description
Sessions will encourage discussion about the current evidence regarding osteopathic manipulative medicine and topics related to research in osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Educational Objectives

  • Provide examples of recent research findings on osteopathic manipulative medicine which they could apply to their clinical practice
  • Interpret current evidence regarding osteopathic manipulative medicine
  • Recognize research opportunities in osteopathic manipulative medicine

Target Audience
Osteopathic physicians and international osteopathic clinicians who are members of DO-Touch.NET

Professional Practice Gap
Practitioners of osteopathic manipulative medicine need to be informed about the strengths and weaknesses of research performed on osteopathic manipulative medicine and what research is currently being performed within the field. Additionally, they need to recognize how they can apply the current evidence regarding osteopathic manipulative medicine in their clinical practice.

Educational Need
Frequent advancements in the evidence base for osteopathic manipulative medicine. Informal comments from DO-Touch.NET members regarding the need to keep up with the current research on osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Desired Outcomes
