Practitioners of osteopathic manipulative medicine need to be informed about the strengths and weaknesses of research performed on osteopathic manipulative medicine and what research is currently being performed within the field. Additionally, they need to recognize how they can apply the current evidence regarding osteopathic manipulative medicine in their clinical practice.
